The Woman I Am
Some say I am a strong woman
Some tell me I am a brave woman
Some think I should be more of a woman
Some will tell you I’m a good woman
While some think I’m not much of a woman
Or at all like any woman they ever knew
And that I could be so much more
But all I am is woman
All I am is my woman
I am the woman I can be
Not the one I should be, could be, would be
Not so much more, too much like, or nearly so

For ages, women were thought to be in the shadows. Thought to be not as wise or strong. Respectfully speaking, where would we be without the woman? Not at all to diminish the presence of a man’s being. Life is created by the seed of a man, however it is that bearing of life the woman must introduce. One can not be without the other. But the strength that a woman possess runs much deeper than what is saluted.
The level of comfort and understanding that is rooted in our DNA; Extensive amounts of intuition that guides us, which allows us to guide others; The ability to magnify or multiply whatever is given to us: All shows the magical strength that we have. And we will not and should not apologize for. The sweet but stern, loving but firm, gentle but stronger than a m****f**** essence a woman balances is showing proof of all that we are. And so much more.

Resilience is what I do believe we are born with. At times of defeat, we know how to find our way through. At times of chaos with school, work, family, other personal situations, we make it work. However there are times when we “make it work” to a fault of ourselves. Times when we put everything and everyone before us. I believe those are times of growth and lessons. Teaching us when it’s time to get back to our own souls to feed our spirits again. As much as we do for others, we must do for ourselves x 10.
So often as we growth through life, we get hung up on the expectations of society or social media. The thought of what is standard “beauty.” And the fact of it all is that there is no standard. There can be no cap put on the nature that one woman owns. Hers is hers alone and just the same goes for her counterparts. Whatever “flaw” that one may think to have, aren’t flaws at all. Believe me or not, those are gems. They make each individual unique in their own right. There is no one like you to be right where you are in any given moment.
We deserve to be more of a support to one another. No one understands certain struggles of a woman like another. Compliment one another. Show up for support, not just in the good or bad but in both. Teach one another and learn from each other with ego pushed to the side. Help raise up other little girls who will in time be growing woman as well, that will have learned how to successfully maneuver this cycle of life. We are all amazing and have strength coupled with magic that is unmatched.
